CKPower Hosts the First CSR Activity “Empowering Kids for a Sustainable World” in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

CKPower, in collaboration with the Teach for Thailand Foundation, organized the “Empowering Kids for a Sustainable World” initiative to educate and raise awareness about renewable energy among youth leaders (Youth Renewable Energy Leaders). This project involved CKPower Group’s volunteer employees and leading teachers from the foundation, as well as the installation of solar panels to generate electricity from solar energy at Udomseel Witthaya School in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. This initiative serves as a model project, demonstrating the integration of renewable energy into communities and society sustainably. The project aligns with CKPower's CSR Strategy Framework 2022-2026, which aims to enhance the quality of life by increasing access to renewable energy for communities surrounding power plants. It also focuses on educating 20,000 children and youth on renewable energy and raising awareness among 10,000 employees, children, youth, and community members about conserving natural resources and the environment by 2026.

The results of the CSR activity at Udomseel Witthaya School in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, “Empowering Kids for a Sustainable World,” are as follows:

  • 21 CKPower Group volunteers participated in sharing knowledge about renewable energy and natural resource conservation.
  • 111 youth leaders (Youth Renewable Energy Leaders) gained knowledge on renewable energy and environmental conservation.
  • A 6,300-watt solar panel system was installed.
  • The school saved approximately 1,000-1,500 THB per month on electricity by using a solar-powered water pump.
  • The use of clean energy reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 4,379 kg of carbon dioxide equivalent per year (equivalent to planting approximately 290 trees for carbon sequestration).
  • 240 children and parents received renewable energy education.
  • The project fostered partnerships with three networks: Udomseel Witthaya School, Talad Krieb community, and various local agencies and clubs that use the school’s football field.
