CKPower Hosts the Second CSR Activity “Empowering Kids for a Sustainable World” in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

CKPower, in collaboration with the Teach for Thailand Foundation, organized the “Empowering Kids for a Sustainable World” activity to educate and raise awareness about renewable energy among children and youth (Youth Renewable Energy Leaders). This initiative involved CKPower Group’s volunteer employees and leading teachers from the foundation. Additionally, solar panels were installed to generate electricity from solar energy at Pak Thong Chai Chunhawan Wittayakhan School in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, serving as a model project for integrating renewable energy into communities and society sustainably. This project aligns with CKPower’s CSR Strategy Framework 2022-2026, which aims to improve the quality of life by increasing access to renewable energy for communities surrounding power plants. The project also aims to educate 20,000 children and youth about renewable energy and raise awareness among 10,000 employees, children, youth, and community members on natural resource conservation and environmental preservation by 2026.

The results of the CSR activity at Pak Thong Chai Chunhawan Wittayakhan School in Nakhon Ratchasima, “Empowering Kids for a Sustainable World,” are as follows:

  • Engineering capabilities were utilized to design and install a 12,400-kilowatt solar panel system, along with a 10-kilowatt-hour energy storage system.
  • 24 CKPower Group volunteers participated in sharing knowledge about renewable energy and the conservation, protection, and restoration of natural resources and the environment.
  • 125 Youth Renewable Energy Leaders received knowledge about renewable energy and the conservation, protection, and restoration of natural resources and the environment.
  • The school saved approximately 2,000-2,500 THB per month on electricity by using solar energy to power additional electrical equipment.
  • The installation of the solar panels helped avoid the emission of approximately 7,299 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent per year, which is equivalent to planting 811 trees.
  • 1,800 children and parents gained knowledge about renewable energy.
  • The project fostered partnerships with five networks, including Pak Thong Chai Chunhawan Wittayakhan School and four surrounding communities near the school.
